Carrollton in Carroll County is a village with a natural setting and vast amounts of farmland. Originally a major area for oil fracking and gas drilling, Carrollton has borne witness to the industry’s booms and declines, and in turn, echoed the turns of the oil industry. “Carrollton is a farm town where everyone knows everyone,” says Mike Boylan, a local Stark County Realtor at Cutler Realty. “This is a small town that is car-dependent. People tend to keep to themselves, and you won’t find much here except for several shops at the village center.”
