Cimarron Cove combines leisure and convenience
Located directly east of Palm Springs International Airport and the adjacent Cimarron Golf Club, Cimarron Cove caters to a mix of permanent and seasonal residents seeking a laid-back Southern California lifestyle. Its varying residential communities offer abundant housing options, where residents can choose between enjoying private amenities or exploring the attractions of greater Cathedral City and neighboring Palm Springs. “Cimarron Cove is a really nice community and is built around leisure,” says David Whittier, Realtor with Re/Max Desert Properties and city resident.
Mediterranean-style homes fill the community's distinct subdivisions
Though Mediterranean-style homes with in-ground pools, solar panels and bright green lawns appear throughout the neighborhood, several subdivisions comprise the residential landscape. Landau Manor and Panorama are the oldest, with build dates stretching from the late 1980s through the 90s. Both are also absent of homeowners associations, which is uncommon across Cathedral City. Conversely, the gated Cimarron Cove subdivisions built the following decade include monthly association fees for amenities like a clubhouse, an RV parking lot and shared greenspaces. Prices across each subdivision are relatively similar and range from $500,000 to $870,000 for a larger corner lot. Condos fill Lantana at Cimarron in the neighborhood’s northwestern corner. Also gated, the golf community includes private entrances, pools and lawn maintenance supported by monthly fees. These units typically range in price from $300,000 to $400,000. It's also worth noting that homeowners association properties and designated Short-Term Vacation Rental (STVR) communities allow property rentals for opportunities for 30 or fewer consecutive days. According to the city's ordinance, interested homeowners must apply and pay for a permit.
