Cedar Grove offers small-town charm with Dutch influence
Cedar Grove was originally settled by Dutch immigrants in the 1840s, a heritage the community still celebrates. Today, the village maintains a welcoming, small-town charm with a small Main Street district, youth sports leagues and highly rated schools. “It’s a very friendly, neighborly community with deep roots,” says Dawn Kronfrot, a local real estate agent at Redefined Realty Advisors with about 10 years of experience. “A lot of the people who have lived there stay there, and now they’re raising their own family. There’s a really good quality of life.” Located on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan, Cedar Grove has a commuter-friendly location on Interstate 43.

Single-family homes, condos and some lakefront properties
The housing inventory includes a mix of Victorian-era homes, Craftsman cottages, midcentury ranch-style properties and New Traditional bungalows from the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Many properties sit on spacious quarter-acre lots with mature maple and oak trees shading well-maintained sidewalks and manicured front lawns. Home prices range from $230,000 to $480,000. Some older homes have been converted into duplexes, and several single-story condo complexes are dotted around the area. Prices for a condo or duplex range from $190,000 to $360,000. Large custom estates line the shores of Lake Michigan, often on lots larger than a full acre. These properties rarely go on the market, though recent sales went for around $1.9 million.
