Cotswold
Suburban Neighborhood in Charlotte, North Carolina
Mecklenburg County 28211

Cotswold homes come in all shapes and sizes
Homes in Cotswold vary wildly in both size and price. Established ranch-style homes with brick facades scatter the neighborhood's winding, tree-shaded streets alongside larger, custom-built Craftsmans, Acadians and properties with Tudor elements. Homes under 2,000 square feet often price between $500,000 and $700,000, while larger estates with five-plus bedrooms can top out around $3 million. Newly constructed townhouses have also taken root on Cotswold's east side, while Rosewood at Providence offers luxury condos on the west side.
Kids can shred or hoop at Grayson Park
Residents don't need to travel far to stay active. Cotswold contains the Charlotte Swim & Racquet Club, where parents cheer on their kids at swim meets and athletes practice their serve at the tennis courts. Grayson Park at the Naomi Drenan Recreation Center also sits nearby, featuring a baseball field, basketball courts and a skatepark for after-school shredding. And, of course, golfers can tee off at Myers Park Country Club. Established in 1921, the five-star club is one of the oldest clubs in Charlotte and serves as a top spot for private events.
Students are zoned to the largest high school in North Carolina
Cotswold students are served by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District. Children may go to Billingsville Cotswold Elementary School, attending the Billingsville campus from kindergarten through second grade before moving on to the Cotswold campus for Grades 3 through 5. The school earns an overall grade of B-minus from Niche. Kids then advance to the A-minus-rated Randolph Middle School, while teens go to Myers Park High School. Earning an A grade from Niche, MPHS is the biggest high school in North Carolina with a total enrollment of over 3,500 students.
The CATS bus comes in handy along Randolph Road
Cotswold residents enjoy easy access to major roadways. Those working in the city can get to Uptown within 15 minutes by traveling north on Randolph or Providence Road, though the Independence Expressway, which feeds directly into the city center, also runs just a mile north. The CATS bus also features numerous stops throughout the neighborhood, making for easy travels throughout the Queen City's suburbs.Wolfman Pizza is a unique staple for Cotswold residents
Cotswold Village sits in the heart of Cotswold, serving as the hub for shopping and dining. National restaurants line Randolph Road, but locally owned eateries steal the show. The werewolf-themed Wolfman Pizza, serving the area since 1991, is a staple for Cotswold locals. "The guy who originally started it, his last name was Wolfman, so that's where the name came from," says Regional Manager Mike Marshall, who has been working at Wolfman Pizza for over 20 years. Featuring a food truck and another location in Quail Corners, Wolfman Pizza is revered not just for its quirky theme, but for its fresh ingredients. "It's real scratch-made stuff," Marshall says. "We cut our own cheese every day. Nothing comes in a bag. Back in the day, that was really original to the area because everything was Domino's or Pizza Hut. That was what made us unique." Eddie's Place on Sharon Amity Road is another neighborhood favorite, known for its all-day breakfast menu and daily drink specials. For groceries, locals often shop at Harris Teeter or Publix, while big-box and independent retailers are just a stone's throw away. The family-run Toy Mania is one of the largest toy stores on the East Coast and is celebrated for its enormous selection of toys — especially during the holiday season.
