Buyers find townhomes in increasingly popular Southside Park
Charlotte is growing out into places like Southside Park. “A lot of people really like it because it's very similar to living in Southend without living in Southend,” says Andy Griesinger, a Realtor with eXp Realty LLC Ballantyne, who has around a decade of experience. “There is a price tag that comes along with that.” Townhomes built in the last decade or so can cost between the low $500,000s and mid-$700,000s. Single-family cottages are in the area but rarely come up for sale. Griesinger also says prices are generally lower than in neighboring areas such as Sedgefield , Wilmore and York Road . Homeowners' associations are present, but fees are more “investor-friendly,” says Greisinger. Pricing is usually based on square footage. “The more you get, the higher price per square foot your HOA fee will be,” Greisinger says. Properties are typically on gridded streets with sidewalks with minimal tree cover. Warehouses and logistics centers are on the southern end of the neighborhood.
Green spaces and mature trees are still common in the western neighborhoods of Southside Park.
