Tri-Taylor
Loaded with classic Chicago styles
The area’s residential streets are lined with mature oaks and elms and feature a range of classic Chicago home styles, from Greystones and Second Empire builds to midcentury worker’s cottages and recently constructed Neo-Traditional townhouses with Craftsman features. Most houses in the area feature small, fenced-in front lots. Tri-Taylor home prices range from $280,000 for quaint two-bedroom condos inconspicuously tucked into historic Greystone townhouses to $700,000 for three-bedroom townhouses in new developments. The densely packed rows of homes still retain a sense of individuality through the gated yards, where residents keep gardens, bird baths or children’s toys.Eating on and around Taylor Street

Ferrara Bakery has been serving the Chicago community since 1908 and specializes in delicious pastries, cannoli and cakes that can be enjoyed after savoring one of the bakery’s authentic Italian menu items. Across the street is Lulu’s Hot Dogs, where residents enjoy loaded Chicago-style hotdogs and steak sandwiches in a warm and friendly atmosphere. For an after-dinner drink, stop by The Slide Bar, where locals enjoy handcrafted cocktails and cold beer at happy hour. The back yard of United Center

The neighborhood is a short mile-long drive from the United Center, where locals flock to watch the Bulls take the court or the Blackhawks take the ice. Millenium Park and the Art Institute of Chicago can be reached with a quick 30-minute trip on the Blue Line, as can all of The Loop’s legendary restaurants and museums.Education in the Windy City
