1960s homes and a tight-knit community on the West Side
The residential streets in Delshire have a classic suburban atmosphere, with modest lots, sidewalks and on-street parking. This area features New Traditional and two-story ranch-style homes built in the 1960s. Many homes incorporate a prairie-style influence with brick exteriors and large, midcentury windows. Single-family home prices range from $150,000 to $450,000. When asked if Delshire was part of Cincinnati proper, Getgey added, "Delshire is a suburb for sure, but Cincinnati is a general term. The postal address says Cincinnati, so it's clear as mud."Neighborhoods on the west side of Cincinnati are known for their tight-knit community and small-town atmosphere. "When I first moved here from Dayton, someone told me I was an 'East Sider' because I lived there at the time," says Roy Webb, a real estate agent at Realtown Realty in Cincinnati. "The West Side is a big part of the city. I've never heard of another town's community being like this."
