Historic homes on small lots
The median price point for a single-family home is right at $165,000. Many of the houses were built at the turn of the century and have historical status. Many are shotgun-style builds with narrow porches, while there are also a few grander Victorian-style homes in the area. “I wouldn’t say cookie cutter, but the homes tend to all sit on smaller lots and have a similar look,” says Yeary. Houses tend to sit on two-lane streets and do not have private driveways, so street parking is a necessity. There are paved sidewalks on each side of the roads for exercising and dog walking, and many homes feature modest yards.Armleder Memorial Park has the fun
