Ashland Hills offers a quiet suburban community near Clarksville's center
Tucked between two major roads in Clarksville, Ashland Hills is a quiet suburban neighborhood that feels miles away from the city. “That’s a great area. It’s convenient to the part of Madison Street that’s more commercial. They have a little park in there. It’s just a cute area,” says Jodi Griffey, a Realtor at BLK Dog Realty with 25 years of experience. The neighborhood streets cross over gently rolling hills with towering oak trees on either side. Spacious lots offer a sense of privacy while being close enough to have a neighborly feeling. With Madison Street to the north and Ashland City Road to the south, the commercial centers of Clarksville are never far away from the tranquil setting of Ashland Hills.
Variety of home styles with spacious lots
Homes in Ashland Hills were built in the 1950s and '60s. “Those are older ranches, but they’re varied. You’ll have a small ranch that’s a three-bedroom, two-bathroom with 1,300 square feet, but then you might have a long one. You won’t see a lot of two-story homes over there,” Griffey says. While the ranch-style homes make up most of the inventory, there are a few other styles, including Victorian and some 21st-century New Traditional homes. They usually have large front and backyards, and many have sheds, workshops or detached garages on the property. Houses in Ashland Hills typically cost between $257,000 and $365,000. Some low-lying parts of the community are prone to flooding.
