Kenwood
Suburban houses with spacious yards and mature trees
Kenwood features single-family homes built between the 1980s and ‘90s, along with a few from the early 2000s. Three-to-four-bedroom ranch-styles, Cape Cods and Colonial Revivals are some of the most common houses. They sell for around $250,000 to $300,000. Homes sit on approximately quarter to half-acre lots with mature trees in the front and fenced backyards. Most ranch-style homes and Colonial Revivals have built-in garages, and just about every house has a wide multi-car driveway. Most streets don’t have sidewalks, other than Pine Mountain Road, which leads to the elementary school.A sports complex with a Clarksville Greenway trailhead
Heritage Park Sports Complex is just across the street from some homes and no more than a mile from others. The park’s softball, baseball and soccer fields host youth and adult leagues. Kids can have fun at the skate park, playground and splash pad. There’s also a fenced-in dog park. The paved Clarksville Greenway connects to the park and stretches 9 miles through nature. All three public schools in one place
All three public schools share the same name as the neighborhood and are right next to each other on Peachers Mill Road. “A lot of kids walk to school,” says Thompson. “They have sidewalks and crossing guards to help kids cross the road safely.” Kenwood Elementary, Kenwood Middle and Kenwood High all receive a B-minus grade from Niche. Each high school within the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System offers at least one specialized career academy. At Kenwood High, students can take courses through the Engineering & Design Academy.Stores and restaurants on Fort Campbell Boulevard
Fort Campbell Boulevard (U.S. Route 41A) is about 2 miles away and is lined with retailers, restaurants and other businesses. Locals can shop for groceries and other essentials at Walmart, Aldi and Ollie’s Bargain Outlet. Most of the restaurants are national chains, but there are a few local spots. Jumbo Crab invites diners to wear a bib while enjoying a messy seafood boil. They’re even welcome to write their names on the wall when they're done. Other local favorites include New York Pizza Depot and El Grullo Express, which serves authentic Mexican food via drive-thru.Downtown Clarksville is 4 miles away
From Peachers Mill Road, it’s about a 4-mile drive to downtown Clarksville. With Fort Campbell Boulevard and 101st Airborne Division Parkway nearby, locals can easily drive to all ends of the city and Fort Campbell, about 20 minutes away. Interstate 24 is about 9 miles away and can be taken for a one-hour trip to Nashville, with National International Airport being the closest place to fly commercially.
