Lake Belleview
Homes offer appealing price points
The community features a diverse mix of styles, including contemporary customs built in the 1980s, midcentury-modern, ranch-style and cottage-style, some of which date back to 1920. Some sections of the neighborhood have sidewalks, but overall walkability is limited. Prices prange from the low $200,000s to the high $400,000s. Despite being located close to the Gulf Coast, the risk of flooding is minimal. However, wind damage is a significant risk during hurricane season, which runs from May through November.Lake, recreation center plenty of neighborhood activities
While the lake provides a recreational anchor with a paved trail and a small fishing dock, The Ross Norton Recreation Center on the lake’s southern shore is the center of community activity. Its array of amenities includes a pool, playground, pickleball courts, baseball fields and a gymnasium. The center also provides afterschool care and hosts youth camps. The adjacent Ross Norton Park is home to two ballfields. Ed Wright Park on the other side of the lake is a picturesque green space. The Clearwater Horseshoe Club holds regular events on its covered clay courts. Belmont Park is a smaller neighborhood stop. Coachman Park, a recreational jewel on the Intracoastal Waterway, is less than 2 miles from the neighborhood. Across the waterway is Clearwater Beach, a world-renowned destination. The Intracoastal and the Gulf are havens for boaters, watercraft enthusiasts and anglers.Restaurants, retail stores found along nearby commercial corridors
Daily News Restaurant-Belleair is a neighborhood eatery that serves up highly rated contemporary dishes. Southie Coffee is a small local chain with one of its locations in the neighborhood. More shopping and dining options are concentrated just outside the neighborhood along the South Fort Harrison Avenue and Missouri Avenue corridors. The Publix at Clearwater Plaza along Missouri Avenue is temporarily closed, but it is expected to reopen in 2026 after construction of a new building is completed. The Publix at La Belle Plaza provides a convenient alternative in the meantime. Walmart and T.J. Maxx are among a nearby cluster of retail stores on Missouri Avenue. Cleveland Street is the heart of downtown Clearwater, which offers contemporary shopping and dining options.Middle and high schools offer expanded learning opportunities
Younger students can attend Ponce De Leon Elementary School and Largo Middle School, both rated B-minus by Niche. Older students can attend Clearwater High School, which Niche gives a B. The middle and high schools offer the International Baccalaureate learning tract. Students who complete the Middle Years programme can attain an IB diploma in high school. The nearby Pinellas Academy of Math & Science is a K-8 public charter school that also earns a B.Surrounding roadways provide access to hospital, airports
The community is tucked between several roadways that provide convenient bus travel to local points of interest, including Morton Plant Hospital less than a mile away. Two of those roadways, South Fort Harrison Avenue and Missouri Avenue, provide access to Clearwater, although the former is a less-trafficked alternative to the latter, which is part of U.S. Route 19 Alternate. St. Pete International Airport is less than 10 miles from the neighborhood, while Florida Route 60, known locally as Gulf to Bay Boulevard, provides a direct route across the water to Tampa and its international airport, about a 30-minute drive away.
