A convenient, yet quiet central Clearwater neighborhood
Plumb Oaks is a neighborhood of established, well-maintained single-family homes surrounded by commercial corridors in central Clearwater. “It’s more urban than suburban,” says Kirsten Kelley, a Clearwater local and Coldwell Banker Realtor with over a decade of real estate experience. “You can get a house under $500,000, not in a flood zone, but a short drive to the beach, so that’s the draw,” she says.
Plumb Oaks welcomes visitors to the quiet peaceful neighborhood.

Midcentury single-family homes
These stucco-clad ranch-style homes built in the 1950s and ‘60s sell for between about $360,000 and $660,000. While rare, custom new builds typically list for over $2 million. “They’re your typical Clearwater block homes,” Kelley says. Concrete block construction is common here because of the material’s resistance to rot and decay, which are prevalent concerns in Florida due to the heat and humidity. “It’s an older, more established, slower-paced part of the city. A lot of these people have been here for 40 years,” Kelley says. Homes don’t come on the market very often, but when they do, they sell faster than the 46-day national average.
Homes in Plumb Oaks that are not in a flood zone can sell for under $500,000.
