Community and amenities in east Cleveland
Tony Parra can summarize this large east Cleveland neighborhood easily: “Glenville is a very convenient and diverse place, with many attractions. There are larger homes for families and smaller properties for young professionals around Superior Avenue. Residents can access walkable areas, the third largest Veterans Affairs hospital and the beaches on Lake Erie,” says Tony Parra, a real estate agent with Dreamteam Realty and native Cleveland resident who has served the community for nine years. Glenville also offers residents access to downtown and shopping in University Circle while also providing a range of home styles and community-oriented spirit. Parra adds, “That area was hit hard during the 2008 recession, but there’s a lot of growth happening right now. The vibe in the neighborhood is very optimistic, and people are excited to see development in the community and be a part of the change.” With access to public transportation, more affordable housing options and community attractions, Glenville residents can maintain a balanced, convenient lifestyle.
New homes and 20th century Colonial Revivals on residential streets
Glenville homes sit closely together on gridded streets, interspersed with trees. Most properties have driveways, but street parking is common as well. “There are a range of home styles and prices in Glenville. New developments on Circle North can be priced in the $260,000 to $400,000 range, while buyers can find homes a few streets over still around the $80,000 to $120,000 range,” Parra says. Contemporary New Traditional homes in Circle North can cost as much as $500,000. Investors and families can find multi-family properties in Colonial Revival designs built in the early 20th century for as low as $60,000 and as high as $145,000. There are also Victorians built in the 1910s that cost between $140,000 and $250,000.

Glenville neighborhood is the best of all the neighborhoods in my opinion. I have lived in the area all of my life and there are many opportunities to get involved with. I also like the area because the location is excellent if you have to travel on the bus. I would like to see more job opportunities for the Glenville area so that the high school students can work and play a part in the development of of their respective area of interest.
