The military base, Fort Lee, is nearby, along with the Honeywell and DuPont factories.”

Diverse architecture in Colonial Heights
Throughout the residential roads of Colonial Heights is a range of architectural styles. Split levels, bungalows and ranch homes sit on tidy lots with level yards and simple landscaping, while stately colonial-inspired homes, farmhouses and Cape Cods are tucked back on large lots with long driveways. These properties range in price from $115,000 to $350,000 for three to four bedrooms. “Inventory is really low,” Nix says. “We usually have between 100 and 120 houses for sale, and now we’re lucky if we have 30 or 50 at any given time. Nice houses that are priced competitively sell within a week, if not faster.”
