What homes cost and look like in The Glen
Occasionally, units in the Chapel Hill Condos community come to market, usually selling in the high-$100,000s. However, single-family homes with double garages and spacious yards make up most of what comes up for sale in Highpoint-Glen. Most of these properties were built between the 1970s and 1980s. That retro charm often comes through in spacious split-level layouts and New or Minimal Traditional styles. Sales have generally ranged from the low $300,000s to the low $500,000s, but upgrades can push prices into the mid-$600,000s.
“Compared to some nearby areas, homes in [Highpoint-Glen] also tend to offer a little more space and value for the money,” says resident Tammy Marquardt, a Realtor with e-Merge Real Estate. “Buyers appreciate the larger yards, established landscaping and floor plans that were designed before homes started being built so close together.”
While prices here skew higher than Mill Run's, that community primarily offers multifamily housing. Compared to nearby single-family neighborhoods like Quarry Trails and Riverplace, Highpoint-Glen’s prices are lower and more comparable to those in nearby Golfview Woods.

How HOA rules and a civic group shape neighborhood life
Most of Highpoint-Glen is not governed by a homeowners association, but there are sections where HOA involvement is mandatory, including Chapel Hill Condos and Quarry Pointe, a cluster of newer, early 2000s homes. That said, all residents can join The Glen Civic Association. The longstanding, voluntary organization sponsors events throughout the year, like Food Truck Thursdays and holiday festivities. They also publish a regular newsletter, keeping neighbors up to date and connected. “That involvement creates a friendly atmosphere that buyers notice when they tour the neighborhood," Marquardt says. "People here genuinely seem to take pride in where they live.”

Students in Highpoint-Glen attend Hilliard City Schools, a sought-after district known for its highly rated schools, including Ridgewood Elementary, Hilliard Tharp Sixth Grade, Hilliard Weaver Middle School and Hilliard Davidson High School.
Rather than magnet schools, Hilliard offers intradistrict open enrollment and policy-based transfers. Admission is generally based on capacity and district guidelines.

Residents can reach it via neighborhood streets like Smiley Road, which connects to Fishinger Boulevard — a corridor lined with a mix of services, dining and everyday conveniences. Commuters headed to Dublin, less than 10 miles north, can often avoid backups on Interstate 270 by taking Dublin Road (about a 12- to 20-minute drive, depending on traffic).
