Little Turtle has outdoor beauty and recreation beyond the golf course

Centered around a private golf club, Little Turtle is a quiet, planned community that draws hopeful residents with its outdoor beauty and recreational opportunities that go beyond the fairways. Well-maintained contemporary homes and a top-ranked school district appeal to families, while access to modern amenities and the highway make it an attractive choice for professionals and commuters.

What condos and single-family homes typically cost here

The sidewalk-lined streets of Little Turtle pass manicured lawns dotted with maple and pine trees. Woodsy surroundings thin out near The Golf Club at Little Turtle on the north side. Apartments make up half of the area’s dwellings, splitting single-family homes and condos evenly between the rest. Condos typically sell between the mid-$100,000s and mid-$600,000s, depending on size and amenities. Most single-family homes were constructed in the 1980s and ‘90s, and have quarter-acre lots or larger. Craftsman and colonial-inspired designs are typical, and houses generally sell between the low $300,000s and the high $500,000s. The neighborhood’s median price is in the low $400,000s; higher than nearby areas like Sunbury Woods and Trouville, but comparable to West Albany and Gould Park.

Convenient routes connect this golf community to the city

Little Turtle is accessible from state Route 161. This highway connects the neighborhood to Interstate 270/670, which is a 15-mile drive to downtown Columbus. Locals who work in New Albany's tech corridor can expect a 5-mile commute. “It’s about as easy access to the highway as you can get for a suburban golf community,” says Craig Buehler, a Realtor with the Powell Buehler Group.

Golf club amenities include pool, pickleball and dining

The Golf Club at Little Turtle is the centerpiece of the neighborhood. In addition to over 200 acres of green space, it offers an upscale leisure experience, featuring a clubhouse and restaurant. The club offers a heated outdoor pool, pickleball courts and regular modern upgrades. “They’ve done a ton of remodeling for the golf course,” says Buehler. “We’re seeing a lot of young professionals come out for the golf simulator.”
