Slate Hill
New Traditional condos in homeowners associations
Sitting in bundles along the narrow sidewalks, New Traditional townhome-style condos make up most of Slate Hill. Some communities, like Worthington Heights, offer freestanding, detached condos with more of a split-level home look and more room for residents to spread out. Condos throughout Slate Hill typically sell between $175,000 and $300,000, with detached condos with more bedrooms typically going for higher. “All of them have homeowners association fees, and they all keep up their property relatively well,” says Realtor Andy Whiteman with RE/MAX Achievers. However, many homebuyers in the area use the condos here as an investment opportunity. “The attraction of buying a condo here is that you can rent it out. You live there for a while and then build equity,” Whiteman says. On the western side of Slate Hill, Alta View Village Court features a small collection of New Traditional single-family homes built around 2018 and along a street lined with sidewalks and young trees. These properties will typically sell between $400,000 and $500,000.Exciting clubs at Worthington Schools
Slate Hills falls within Worthington’s school district—a desirable district that draws people to the community. Ranked the 14th most diverse elementary school in Ohio, Slate Hill Elementary School receives a B-plus from Niche. Perry Middle School earns a 6/10 from GreatSchools and offers several fun clubs, like D&D and ski and board organizations. They can also sign up for cooking classes, where they can learn to make fresh pasta and iconic Italian dishes. Spice9 offers Southern Indian cuisine and has a high-end feel. Flint Station is housed in an old rail station on the western side of Slate Hill and offers live music and weekly trivia nights. For specialty goods, locals can visit Trinethra Indian Supermarket.Local farmers markets in Old Worthington
