The Visitor Center showcases various exhibits on the local wildlife, and a handful of lakes allow fishing. Commuters with vehicles can access Colorado state Highway 2 and use it to travel north or south, with downtown Denver about 11 miles away. U.S. Route 6, known as Vasquez Boulevard, is less than a mile west. Additionally, Regional Transportation District (RTD) bus services have stops along Kearney Street, Monaco Street, and 72nd and 76th avenues. While Monaco is primarily residential, the surrounding main roads are lined with shops and restaurants. Mi Pueblo Market is an international grocery store on 80th Avenue. The commercial corridor along Highway 2 starts at the 72nd Avenue intersection, where there are convenience stores, used car dealerships and other small businesses. Tacos Sabor Chilango is one of many authentic Mexican restaurants in the area, and Tasty Donuts is next door. Farther north, there’s a Dollar General and Big Daddy Mexican Food.Central Commerce City is about 4 miles south with King Soopers and a Walmart Supercenter. Fast-food options include KFC, Wendy’s and Pizza Hut.
