A “nice little town” within Commerce City
Izaiah Rodriguez recalls when the triangular area between Potomac Street, East 104th Avenue and Colorado State Highway 2 was nothing more than dirt and dried grass. “I grew up in the area. I remember, like, just about five to 10 years ago, there wasn’t much here, but it’s really expanding and growing into a nice little town,” says Rodriguez, who works at Box State Barbers, one of the businesses in the small commercial complex nestled in the corner of Commerce City’s Turnberry neighborhood. “Over here, man, it’s a lot of family people and really nice people around this area.”
Sharing its name with Turnberry Parkway, the neighborhood is a mostly residential community complemented by an elementary school, a few eateries and recreational facilities. Amenities include walking paths, which allow for easy strolls to a community pool and a park with a garden motif.
Turnberry homes include options for basements, lofts, and flexible living space.
