People looking to move into Rose Glen can find recently built homes and older ones. “People who want a new house would buy in this area,” says Marina Petrosov, a Realtor with Compass and Concord resident since 2013. “It’s a mix of generations and people.” In Rose Glen, homebuyers can choose between multi-million dollar homes and hundred-thousand-dollar homes, all within a few blocks of each other. Single-family homes mostly range from ranch-style with Mediterranean influences, to shed-style properties. Properties typically sell for between $650,000 and $1.5 million.

Mount Diablo Unified School District
The area is served by the Mount Diablo Unified School District, which has a B-plus rating on Niche. Silverwood Elementary School has a B rating on Niche, and El Dorado Middle School has a C rating. Concord High School has a B-plus rating and has an industrial arts program and award-winning visual and performing arts programs. Getting around Concord
Bay Area Rapid Transit serves Concord and has a station about three miles from the neighborhood. It provides a direct route into Oakland and San Francisco. Interstate 680 also provides a route into Oakland and San Francisco and is about five miles away. For international Travel, the Oakland International Airport is about 30 miles away.

Summers at Concord Community Park
Concord Community Park is the city’s premier park, and draws in people from all over the city on weekends, especially over the summer. “Everyone loves summertime in Concord Community Park,” says Petrosov. People also frequent Newhall Community Park, which is just across Clayton Street. It’s got multi-purpose fields, ponds and walking paths. “They play a lot of soccer at that park,” says Petrosov. For hiking, people head to Lime Ridge Open Space. It’s got trails and views of Mt. Diablo and is a five-mile drive from the neighborhood. Petrosov says that people also head to Mt. Diablo to explore its trails, but Lime Ridge Open Space is more popular thanks to its convenient location.

Hanging out at The Veranda
People in Rose Glen often head to The Veranda, a shopping mall about five miles away, for eating and entertainment. From Dave & Busters to restaurants and shops, Veranda has a lot to offer people in the area. “They have so much for kids, a new movie theater, restaurants and stores,” says Petrosov. “You can spend a whole day at the Veranda.” People can choose from a variety of restaurants at The Veranda, like MOD Pizza, Puesto and Longport Fish Company. For groceries, people head to a Safeway just outside the neighborhood along Clayton Road.

Summer concerts and events
The Toyota Pavilion has gone through different names, but has persisted as a music hub since 1975. Today, it's popular with people of all ages in Concord. "Toyota pavilion is popular during the summer time," says Petrosov. "They have thigs for kids like. Kidz Bop."
