A variety of single-family homes

Most single-family homes in Concord feature brick or vinyl exteriors and were built between the 1950s and 1980s. Residential streets are densely populated with a mix of ranch-style, split-level and colonial revival homes and feature an average sales price of around $350,000. Below I-255, homes tend to sit on larger lots with up to an acre of land. “There are a few pockets of custom-built and higher-end homes,” Barger says. Homebuyers in these areas can find four-bedroom new traditional homes starting at about $450,000.

Retail and entertainment along South Lindbergh Boulevard

South Lindbergh Boulevard cuts through Concord and provides access to the Southfield Center, a shopping complex where locals can catch a movie at Marcus Ronnie’s Cinema or pick up groceries at Schnuck’s. Award-winning high school in Lindbergh

Children in the area attend the Lindbergh Public School District, which earned an A from Niche and has an average student-teacher ratio of 16-to-1. Younger kids in grades K-5 attend Dressel Elementary School before moving on to Sperreng Middle School, which both earned a grade of B-plus. Teens attend the nearby Lindbergh High School, which earned an A from Niche and offers students Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses. The high school was also recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School in 2012 due to its overall academic excellence and efforts to close achievement gaps.

The community gathers at green spaces such as Bohrer Park, which has a tennis court, basketball court, a playground and a splash pad for kids to explore. Traveling to Downtown St. Louis and beyond

Outside of their sidewalk-lined streets, residents in Concord are largely car-dependent. I-55 and I-255 intersect in the northwestern corner of the community, making it easier to traverse the 16 miles to Downtown St. Louis. There are also several bus stops along South Lindbergh Boulevard that are served by Route 49 of the St. Louis Metro Bus. For longer trips, the St. Louis Lambert International Airport is about 23 miles north.
