Stretching east from the city’s center to the wooded lots of its western side, the community of North End combines the rural spirit of New Hampshire with the upbeat pace of the state capital’s downtown district. “It’s a great neighborhood with lots of families,” says Connie Mullen, owner of The Mullen Realty Group, who has 15 years of selling experience in Concord. “For most of the community, there are not a lot of businesses and stores, but Main Street is right there,” she says. Bolstered by a variety of housing options, the community is also home to local colleges and private schools.

North End’s oldest homes, some dating back to the late 1700s, cluster along quiet streets close to downtown. These properties come in varying architectural styles, from New Englanders to colonial and National styles. In this portion of the community, homes appear most often in New Traditional styles, featuring builds dating from the late 20th century through today. Home prices typically range from $300,000 to $600,000. However, larger custom homes and properties on more acreage can reach up to $1.2 million.
