There are a few remaining colonial-era homes, but most places were built from 1920 onward, and there are several new traditional-style builds as well. Condos often start around $600,000 and luxury options may top $2 million. Some single-family houses might sell for just shy of $1 million; however, the majority of offerings are between $1 million and $2 million. Properties can reach up to $5 million. At this price point, buyers can expect views of the water and about 5,000 square feet of living space resting on a quarter of an acre of land. The Montgomery Pinetum Park is a peaceful retreat
Scattered throughout the community are an abundance of parks and recreational facilities. “The Montgomery Pinetum Park is one of our favorite weekend adventures with our kids and dogs,” Studwell says. “We get lost in the beauty — it is a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life.” The Bible Street Park has a couple of playgrounds and several sports fields. “During the summer, they have a camp that’s a favorite among Cos Cob families,” Studwell says. “Local elementary gym teachers created it to let the kids be kids again — they get to play stickball and field day-type games.” Aspiring ballerinas can take lessons at Beam & Barre, and art lovers of all ages can sign up for lessons at Make-Modern.Highly-rated schools for Cos Cob youth

Students finish their secondary academic journey at A-plus-rated Greenwich High School; it offers more than 150 clubs, including one centered around artificial intelligence and another for appreciating Albanian culture. Some of the most widely attended ones are the Greenwich Town Party in May, where several bands perform, and crowds gather on land as well as on water to listen.
