Hilly roads and large shaded yards in Kimball Park
In the northern reaches of Council Bluffs, the city starts yielding to the Loess Hills and the Iowa countryside. With its hilly, winding roads and dense tree canopies, Kimball Park offers a glimpse of what lies beyond. The neighborhood is situated along North Broadway, connecting it to the central portion of Council Bluffs about 2 miles away, which affords the neighborhood a slight reprieve from the bustle of the city. “The houses there are not remarkable, but the location is,” says Steve Moore, a Realtor and team leader at Embarc Realty who has been selling real estate in Council Bluffs for five years. “And once you cross Kanesville Boulevard, there’s shopping, the 100 Block, Bayliss Park — everything.”
