Diverse houses that retain resale value and sit along walkable streets
The neighborhood has a mix of housing styles, and homes sit along wide streets flanked by sidewalks on both sides. Lawns are kept short, and many yards have trees and small bushes. The community is built around cul-de-sacs which also have plants in the center of their circles. New Traditional homes can range from $425,000 to $525,000, while older brick houses can go from $410,000 to $640,000. Custom-built properties often sell for between $630,000 and $1 million. In all cases, residences near TimberCreek Golf Club tend to be more expensive. “A lot of folks coming from out of town are looking for a five-year house, so they like the good resale value here,” Irvine says. Timbercreek has annual POA dues of $1,000, with $500 due by Jan. 1 and July 1 of each year. Any changes to home exteriors, including landscape alterations, must be approved by the POA’s architectural review board. The area has a CAP Index crime score of 1 out of 10, well below the national average of 4.Three golf courses, eight tennis courts and playgrounds, plus a nearby state park

Nearby Spirit Park has three baseball and softball diamonds, plus eight tennis courts with lights. Kids Park, formerly called “The Fort,” has swings, slides and a jungle gym, with a separate section for children 5 and younger. A few miles west, families can have fun at Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park, an indoor facility designed to get guests moving. Less than 10 miles away is Historic Blakely State Park, a 1,400-acre expanse along the Tensaw and Apalachee rivers that offers cruises, camping, horseback riding, fishing, biking and hiking among its outdoor excursions. Once the site of the Battle of Fort Blakeley during the Civil War, the park also hosts reenactments and self-guided tours of the battlefield.Rockwell Elementary School students can learn music from the Mobile Symphony Orchestra

Thomas Hospital Emergency – Malbis is less than 2 miles away and offers 24-hour care. Hurricanes can impact the area, causing downed trees and power lines. It also gets a lot of rain, which usually arrives in spurts. “From April to September, there can be torrential downpours that last 5 minutes,” Irvine says. “Every day in the summer has a chance of rain, so you can’t plan around it. It might rain early in the morning and then be fine the rest of the day.”Reubens, breakfast tacos and retail shopping at Eastern Shore Centre
There are no restaurants in the community other than the TimberCreek Golf Club eatery, which is open for breakfast and lunch. “The food is delicious,” Irvine says. “They have a great Reuben.” Several others are nearby.
