Wright View offers suburban living and easy commutes
Wright View is an established east Dayton neighborhood with rolling streets and midcentury homes. Ongoing home renovations have helped the community stay well-kept over the years. The neighborhood is an attractive choice for those wanting a suburban lifestyle without losing convenience to Downtown Dayton and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Main roads keep commuters within a 15-minute drive of their jobs and the closest commercial hubs. Kids can easily walk to the neighborhood middle school or to a nearby park.
Classic midcentury homes with many newly updated options
Wright View has the classic look of suburbia, with neat green lawns, wide roads and plenty of housing. The neighborhood is filled with unique mid-20th-century homes, including:
Cape Cods
Bungalows
American Foursquares
Ranch-style homes
You’ll also find split-level homes and multifamily houses on raised foundations. Although most homes in the neighborhood are older, many have been well-maintained or renovated. “Investors have done a good job of rehabbing the homes and putting them back on the market,” says Mark Davison, a Realtor with Sibcy Cline. “Because of that, the area is on the upswing regarding the quality of living. If you look up and down the street, it’s not going to be hard to find a house that’s been recently updated.”
Traveling through Wright View, you'll find lots of brick homes atop little slopes and hills.

Lower costs and rentals attract a wide variety of residents
"The area is on an upswing while still being fairly affordable,” says Realtor Austin McClain with Reafco. This, along with the area’s rental options, makes it an attractive community for first-time homebuyers, young families, working professionals and investors. You can find turnkey homes between the low $100,000s and the low $200,000s, and investment properties for less than $100,000.
Commutes stay quick with a central location between downtown and WPAFB
You might see people walking pets through the neighborhood from time to time, but when it comes to commuting, most people drive. The neighborhood is about a 15-minute drive from two of Dayton’s largest employment hubs: downtown and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. East Third Street is a straight shot into downtown, while Springfield Street and Airway Road lead to the base.

East Third Street has some business, but downtown districts have more
Wright View doesn’t have many commercial options outside of a few businesses along East Third Street. Options start to grow the closer you get to Webster Station and downtown Dayton. These neighborhoods are major hubs for drinks with friends, dinner dates or a quick bite before seeing a show or concert.
