Despite the convenience of those nearby big-name stores, many Swedes Run residents opt to shop locally. Taylor River Side Farm is a community staple a few miles away along the Delaware River, offering fresh seasonal produce and homemade honey. In the late 20th-century, the Taylor family dedicated 85 acres of their land to the New Jersey Naturals Lands Trust, forming the adjacent Taylor Wildlife Preserve, which is open to the public year-round.
