Light shows and pajama parties

The Dickinson Festival of Life is held every year at Paul Hopkins Park. This festival brightens up the park every winter with Christmas-themed decorations and light sculptures along a walking path in the park. Gator’s Bar and Grill offers regularly scheduled fun events for the community, like pajama parties and murder mystery dinner events where patrons are served a meal along with a crime they’ll be able to solve over the course of an evening.

Dining options in town and beyond

Dickinson is home to a few local restaurants, and some fast-casual spots along Interstate 45. In the center of the city, locals can grab barbeque, seafood and soul food. Dickinson’s Barbeque & Southern Comfort is a popular centrally located eatery in Dickinson with a Western theme that fills the senses upon walking through the front doors. Gator’s Bar and Grill is a popular spot along Interstate 45, offering classic bar and pub food in a lively atmosphere. For groceries, residents can stop by the Kroger along I-45. For more shopping and dining, residents can head to the League City Shopping Center, about two miles up I-45 towards Houston.
