Dove Valley blends sports, schools and commuter convenience
Dove Valley, although not widely known to all Denver-area residents, is home to the Denver Broncos' headquarters and training facility. Jane Knauf, a Realtor in the Denver area with Metro Home Finder, Inc., notes that the community is considered part of Englewood and Centennial. She says that nearby amenities have contributed to Dove Valley's growth. "It's close to major transits. You're right there on E-470, and you're a quick jaunt to Interstate 25. Plus, it's in Cherry Creek School District, which is one of the best in the state," Knauf says. "It's also close to major shopping. It has a lot of amenities that are close by." Dove Valley was officially recognized as a Census Designated Place in 2010. Residents may occasionally hear overhead planes from the Centennial Airport. Industrial properties occupy a significant portion of the area surrounding the airport. The Broncos' training facility was recently renamed Broncos Park Powered by CommonSpirit.
Single-family homes and townhomes line the eastern side
Most homes in Dove Valley are along the eastern side, while businesses and industrial spaces occupy the central and western sections. Many houses are New Traditional styles with driveways leading to attached garages. Cityscape at Dove Valley offers low-maintenance, multi-story residences developed by Richmond American Homes. These dwellings are a part of the Southcreek subdivision, which contains a mix of detached houses and attached units. "There has been an uptick in townhome development," Knauf says. Condos and townhomes can sell for $300,000 to $600,000. Single-family homes typically cost between $550,000 and $750,000.
The region has some risk of wildfire, which can impact homes and air quality.
Arapahoe Road and I-25 offer quick access to shopping and restaurants
Dove Valley is close to commercial corridors and shopping hubs. There is a Walmart Supercenter and a Costco Wholesale less than 5 miles from the center of the community. Nearby supermarkets include Natural Grocers and King Soopers. "Arapahoe Road is very close. That's a major thoroughfare with a lot of restaurants. And the entire I-25 corridor is great for dining," Knauf says. Olive Branch Grill and 2 Penguins Tap and Grill are down the road. Knauf also recommends nearby upscale establishments, such as Eddie V's Prime Seafood and Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, both of which are about 7 miles away. Southlands is a large-scale outdoor mall about 10 miles from Dove Valley.
Cherry Creek schools offer high ratings and CTE pathways
The high-ranking Cherry Creek School District has an A rating from Niche. The district provides school choice options through an online application process. Children can attend the nearby Red Hawk Ridge Elementary, which earns a B-plus. Liberty Middle receives an A-minus, while Grandview High has an A-plus. The high school offers a number of career and technical education pathways for teens, including courses in coding, digital media, business administration and hospitality.
Visiting Dove Valley Regional and Cherry Creek Valley Ecological Parks
Dove Valley Regional Park underwent a multimillion-dollar expansion starting in 2023. The project added parking spaces, a sledding hill and upgraded sports fields. The green space also features a new dog park and bike park with a pump track. New playground equipment is also available. Visitors can park their cars here and walk over to the Denver Broncos training facility. Cherry Creek Valley Ecological Park is another major outdoor attraction for trails that connect to other pedestrian-friendly routes in the surrounding area. The Denver Broncos Foundation partners with schools to support local youth sports. The nonprofit supports Satellite Resource Centers that provide clothing and school supplies to children in need.
Major roads and public transit support commutes to Denver
Regional Transportation District provides light rail service at County Line Station and Dry Creek Station; both stations are approximately 5 miles from the community. There are also bus stops in and around the area. The Denver Tech Center is a major regional employer in Greenwood Village, a business hub about 6 miles from Dove Valley via Arapahoe Road. "It's a lovely commute area. You're near toll roads with E-470 and close to major transits," Knauf says. Interstate 25 is about a 6-mile drive from the middle of Dove Valley. Centennial Airport is a designated reliever airport for Denver International, which stands about 30 miles away.
