Large, modern homes on expansive lots
“East Fishkill is not too far out in the middle of nowhere. You can still get a 1- to 2-acre lot within a subdivision community on quieter roads where you can get privacy,” says Sylvestri. Homes in the New Traditional, Colonial Revival and split-level style are built back from winding roadways on large, manicured lots with no sidewalks. Home prices are based primarily on size and upkeep. Large, recently built or renovated homes containing three or more bedrooms and two or more baths range from $600,000 to $975,000. Smaller homes built between 1940 and 1980 with little to no updates, containing three bedrooms or less and only one to two baths range from $275,000 to $500,000. “House prices are relatively affordable compared to Putnam or Westchester County,” says Sylvestri. The CAP Index gives East Fishkill a crime score of 1 out of 10, lower than the national average of 4.
