Quiet, suburban borough next to the big city conveniences
The Eatontown borough gives residents the comfort of quiet suburban living with the flexibility of big city conveniences. With New York City and Jersey Shores both in driving distance, the township is ideal for commuters looking for the best of both worlds. Named after an early settler, Thomas Eaton, this borough boasts a rich history dating back more than 350 years. “It is a wonderful location with the beach within 5 miles. It is close enough to have a beach feel to it but far enough inland to avoid the brunt of most Atlantic storms,” says Joyce Fernandes, with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Fox and Roach Realtors, who has lived in the Monmouth County area for more than 20 years. “Some of the most exciting news to happen here recently is Netflix recently purchased 300 acres in the Eatontown area to build production studios and open dining, retail and hotel operations,” says Realtor Fernandes.
A wealth of home styles
Like many other New Jersey towns, there is not one distinctive architectural style in Eatontown. The community is an amalgam of various American home styles from ranch styles and modest Cape Cods to Victorian style mansions guarded by tall oak trees. City administrators are historically conservative when it comes to new developments but housing options like cozy apartments and decently sized condominiums are plentiful across the town. Home prices here range from around $120,000 for a 2-bedroom cedar shake modular home to $1.6 million for a 5-bedroom Spanish Revival home.
