“Olde Towne has always maintained its value,” Rutledge says. “The homes are well-maintained on the inside and out, and it gives the whole neighborhood a real air of elegance. There’s no staging needed because these homes already look and feel move-in ready.” Most homes sit on just over a quarter-acre, some with backyard pools and fenced yards, in housing styles ranging from traditional brick to contemporary to Colonial Revival. Home prices run between $360,000 and $600,000. Newer homes built in the early 2000s and custom built properties are on the pricier side of the spectrum, while 1980s built houses are usually priced in the high 300s.

Edmond Public Schools receive high marks
Olde Towne students attend schools in the highly rated Edmond Public Schools system. Many students start at Northern Hills Elementary for preschool through fifth grade, followed by Sequoyah for sixth through eighth grade, then Edmond Northand for high school. All three schools boast an A grade from Niche. The community is also minutes from the University of Central Oklahoma. Founded in 1890, the historic university has over 100 undergraduate programs and around 12,000 students.
Younger students may attend Northern Hills Elementary.

Kickingbird Golf Course is the oldest municipal course in town
In the next neighborhood over, Brookhaven Park features play equipment for the kids and benches for parents, plus greenspace and plenty of trees. Fair Cloud Park, a nearby pocket park, also has a playground. Less than a mile from the neighborhood, 18-hole Kickingbird Golf is the oldest course in Edmond.

Shopping local at the Edmond Farmer's Market
Several shopping centers and restaurants are found along Danforth Road on the southern end of Olde Towne. Signature Grill serves upscale American fare, while Ted’s offers filling Mexican dishes. Braum’s is also close by for a quick meal or sweet treat. Plus, being close to downtown Edmond means restaurants like The Mule or Othello’s are a few miles away. The weekly Edmond Farmer’s Market is a long-running event in the city where local farmers, manufacturers and other vendors sell an array of locally made products. The market usually takes place outdoors from April until November and indoors from November until March.

Olde Towne is a few miles from Interstate 35, which residents can use to get to Oklahoma City, about 20 miles away. Local roads lead to the downtown area, which has various restaurants, boutiques and antique shops.
