Northwest El Monte has an affordable suburban lifestyle

The highlight of Northwest El Monte may be its prices, attracting newcomers and LA natives in droves. “It’s centrally located, has affordable pricing, and it’s growing — becoming more and more popular,” says broker associate Margaret Garemore, who works with Seven Gables Real Estate and has over 25 years of experience in the region. The neighborhood’s 1950s subdivisions give it a suburban feel, but it maintains a distinctive character. One of its unique features is being next to the San Gabriel Airport, a small public airport, which adds activity and noise to the community. Northwest El Monte also has a wide variety of locally owned restaurants, specializing in Hispanic and Asian cuisines.
