Montoya Heights is a residential neighborhood surrounded by opportunity
The northwestern El Paso neighborhood of Montoya Heights is close to the Texas-New Mexico border in the foothills of the Franklin Mountains. The location gives residents access to several distinct attractions. Franklin Mountains State Park, home to miles of hiking trails and an outdoor concert venue, is less than 10 miles east, while drivers can take Highway 28 into New Mexico to visit several vineyards; La Viña, the state’s oldest winery, is around 10 miles away. It is also close to some of El Paso’s best shopping and dining spots, yet home prices are around the city average. “It’s one of the oldest communities on the west side, but it’s in the middle of everything,” says Luis Larrinua, a Realtor at St. Rogers Realty.
