Established northern York County enclave

Nestled in northern York County, about 4 miles from downtown, Emigsville blends old and new housing options and provides easy access to the city. “It’s right on Route 83, which provides a lot of commuter conveniences, and there’s a lot of industrial and commercial buildings like Amazon and FedEx nearby,” says Robert Argento, Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services. “There are brand new homes in some pockets of the community, which appeals to people moving there for work, but there are also established homes too.” Though the community is appealing for those who commute through the York area, it does have several amenities, including the Emig Mansion, a popular bed and breakfast with eye-catching Victorian architecture. The community is located just to the south of several commercial buildings, but there are also several city parks, shops and dining options nearby.

Blend of old and new home styles

Prospective residents can find brick ranch-styles in abundance on the southern side of the community, with prices ranging from $140,000 up to the high 200s. However, there is plenty of variety throughout the area, including midcentury Cape Cods and multi-story homes built around the turn of the 20th century. There are plenty of newly constructed homes for sale, including three-bedroom homes in the mid $300,000 range to four-bedroom properties that are typically priced between $430,000 and $515,000.
