Driving along Corkscrew Road in Estero, Florida, it is common to see new developments and gated communities, including The Preserve at Corkscrew. Wildcat Run Golf and Country Club is an Arnold Palmer-designed course that underwent an $8 million renovation in 2022. Also nearby is Hertz Arena, which hosts concerts and is the home of the Florida Everblades hockey team.
Hertz Arena has Hockey games, large musical concerts and other arena style entertainment.

Lee County Public Schools and Florida Gulf Coast University
Lee County Public Schools serves students living at The Preserve at Corkscrew. Students start their journey at nearby Pinewoods Elementary School, which has an A-minus grade on Niche. Students then move on to Three Oaks Middle School, which has a B-plus score and then go to Estero High School, which has a B. The school offers a culinary program and medical courses. Florida Gulf Coast University is also located near the community and has a B grade on Niche.
