Residential pockets of single-story homes from the 20th century
Residential pockets break up the warehouses and businesses that fill the area. Homes have grassy front lawns that stretch to the street. While the highway can certainly be heard from some homes, just as many have a quiet environment. “In some homes, you can’t hear much of anything because you have so many trees,” Meherzad says. Most of the neighborhood is comprised of single-story houses built between the 1920s and 1960s, including ranch-styles, bungalows and minimal traditional cottages. There are also some manufactured homes. Prices generally fall between $120,000 and $140,000, although investment properties can cost as little as $40,000. According to FEMA, there is a relatively high risk of tornadoes.People dine at nearby restaurants or go to Downtown Evansville
