Mountain vistas meets lush greenery

According to Wade, locals who want significantly larger lots than what nearby Gallatin and Hendersonville offer will want to consider the 84,070 square-foot parcels in Bethpage. Old Hickory Lake is the summer hotspot
Kensington Farm at Saddle and Vine Ranch in Bethpage offers beginning and advanced horseback riding lessons. Old Hickory Lake, in nearby Gallatin, according to Wade, is one of the best reasons to reside in the area, drawing in more than a million tourists a year. U.S. President Andrew Jackson’s nickname, Old Hickory, inspired the lake’s name. Jackson was a one-time resident of the area. “The lake is bustling with summertime residents and tourists,” she states. Visitors to lakes enjoy the excellent fishing, with largemouth, spotted, and smallmouth bass being the most sought-after catches of the day. Catfish such as channel and flathead are also frequently caught. Other guests take pleasure in pontoon boat sunbathing and jet skiing. And at the lake, some locals go hunting or birdwatching. Plenty of additional green spaces are nearby — there are more than a dozen parks within 10 miles of Bethpage.
Area features three local eateries
Wade says Bethpage lacks places to shop, so most residents make a 15-minute drive on U.S. Route 31E to Gallatin. In Gallatin, shoppers will find several grocery stores like Publix and Food Lion. Locals seeking a more extensive selection of storefronts can make the 45-minute drive to Nashville. The three local eateries in Bethpage, Keller’s Bar & Grill, La Carreta Taqueria and Senor Fajita’s Oak Grove, offer local options for those who don’t want to trek outside the community.
