State Parks and Camp Welch children's camp
The expansive Dighton Rock State Park spans over 85 miles and takes up much of the neighborhood’s north. Teeming with hiking and biking trails, the park is a popular attraction for outdoor recreationists. Boaters and paddlers launch their vessels into the Taunton River to enjoy the water, while anglers set up along the riverbanks to catch trout. The park also features a museum showcasing the area's history and the Taunton River. Camp Merriwood/Camp Welch is also close to the Freetown-Fall River State Forest, which boasts over 50 miles of hiking trails and also has a splash pad, picnic area and fishing spots.Run by the Boys and Girls Club of Fall River, Camp Welch is a vast children’s camp that operates for four sessions every summer from June through August for kids aged 5 through 12. With 20 buildings across its 165-acre property, the camp comprises a large part of the neighborhood and is part of its namesake. During two-week intervals, kids can participate in a range of activities, including sports, swimming lessons, arts and crafts, and hiking.

The plaza also has a T.J. Maxx, Kohl’s and Target, along with other retailers and small businesses. Additional grocery options include Hannaford’s, Trucchi’s and PriceRite Marketplace.
