Custom built homes on multi-acre lots
Dense woodlands separate the small residential boroughs scattered across Underwood-Petersville. The split-level and ranch-style houses typically date back to the 1960s and '70s, but some with a New Traditional look were built between the 1990s and early 2000s. Some of the oldest homes are from the 1920s and reflect shotgun-style architecture, with full-width front porches and gabled roofs. While most yards fall within the half-to-one-acre range, some custom-built houses are tucked away on multi-acre properties surrounded by trees.Home prices in Underwood-Petersville usually depend on the yard size and the home's age. Older houses on half-acre lots fall within the $100,000 to $150,000 range. Meanwhile, newer houses on one-acre lots can cost closer to $300,000. Multi-acre custom builds rarely go on the market, but in 2024, one sold for about $500,000.
