Edora Acres is a small, central Fort Collins suburb, where residents are just a few steps from the 65-acre Edora Park. Prospect Ponds Natural Area is a mile east of Edora Acres and has a mile of trails popular among local birdwatchers, with over 100 species spotted in the area, from bald eagles to great horned owls.

Old Town and downtown Fort Collins are 2 miles north of the neighborhood and are the city’s main shopping and dining hubs. “Most people walk or bike places whenever possible to avoid parking downtown,” Sibbald says. “With our increasing population, it's been harder to find spots. It’s a problem that the city is working on fixing, with plans to build new parking garages.” Explorado Market has a wide range of gluten-free pastries and other cafe items. Coopersmith’s Pub and Brewing is around the corner and has classic pub bites and 20 rotating craft beers on tap. Nearby grocery options include Target, Lucky's Market and Safeway.

Riffenburgh Elementary School earns a B-plus overall grade from Niche. Lesher Middle School also earns a B-plus and offers extracurriculars ranging from rock climbing club to Girls Who Code.
