Fossil Creek also has a skate park, a splash pad and an enclosed dog park. Across the street, the 18-hole Southridge golf course is open to the public, complete with a driving range and a clubhouse. Whetstone Climbing is less than a mile from Miramont and is the largest indoor climbing gym in Fort Collins. Werner Elementary School earns an A-minus overall grade from Niche. “One of the biggest draws is proximity to Werner Elementary,” Sledge says. “It’s one of the top-rated elementary schools in the district, and homes are within walking distance.” Preston Middle School also receives an A-minus. After the eighth grade, students can move on to the A-rated Fossil Ridge High School, which Niche lists as the third-best public high school in Larimer County. Lima Coffee Roasters on South Mason Street has locally roasted coffees and teas to go along with baked goods and is a popular remote working spot.
