A midtown Fort Collins community

Scotch Pines is a midtown community less than a mile from a dozen local eateries and community parks, about 3 miles south of downtown Fort Collins. As its name suggests, this late 1900s neighborhood’s streets are lined with mature evergreens and oaks, and many yards have low-water-use landscaping due to the arid climate of Colorado’s Front Range. "Scotch Pines is in a great, centrally located part of the city," says Mary Jo Scarborough, a local real estate agent with Grey Rock Realty. "You're in the center of town, with easy access to every side of Fort Collins."

20th century Colonial Revivals

Scotch Pines has a combination of single-family homes and condo complexes. Colonial Revivals, ranch-style homes and split-level houses built throughout the 1970s and 1980s and sit on quarter-acre lots. Most homes have attached two-car garages and fenced-in back yards. "With its green spaces and grassy areas, the neighborhood has a park-like feel," Scarborough says. Single-family homes range from $460,000 to $690,000. Condos and townhouses can go for $210,000 to $500,000.
