Village East
1970s architecture in Village East
Ranch-style homes, bi-levels and split-levels line the streets of Village East, most of which were built between 1975 and 1979. Front yards are dotted with mature evergreen, cottonwood and elm trees with small back yards that are bordered by privacy fences. Many houses sit on quarter-acre lots, span 1,000 to 1,900 square feet and have attached two-car garages. Prices range from $450,000 to $590,000.The Village East HOA and nearby parks
The Village East Homeowners Association is run by neighborhood volunteers who maintain the community’s public spaces. Homeowners pay an annual HOA fee and have access to the Village East pool, tennis courts and playground. The pool is open seven days a week from May to September and residents can host private parties for a small fee. Warren Park borders the neighborhood to the southeast and has sports facilities, a playground, picnic tables and a small pond. The 18-hole Collindale Golf Course is across Lemay Avenue from the park and has well-maintained greens and evergreen-lined fairways. After a round on the course, golfers can grab a bite to eat in the clubhouse at C.B. & Potts, which serves classic pub fare, draft brews and cocktails. The largest shopping center in Fort Collins
Village East is a mile from Foothills, the largest shopping mall in the Fort Collins area, and has over 40 shops and restaurants. “The nearby shopping and dining spots are one of the biggest draws to the area,” says Chrissy Barker, a local Realtor with RE/MAX Alliance. “You can walk to the mall from Village East and there are tons of shopping offerings within a mile drive, especially surrounding the College and Drake intersection.” JINYA Ramen Bar serves authentic Japanese ramen, rice bowls and curry. Gilded Goat Brewing Company is also nearby and has around a dozen rotating beers on tap with regular live music performances on Saturday nights. Trader Joe’s, Target and King Soopers are all nearby grocery options along South College Avenue.Career and Tech Education at Fort Collins High School
O’Dea Elementary School serves the young students of Village East and earns a B-plus overall grade from Niche. Boltz Middle School also receives a B-pluis grade and lies just north of the neighborhood and has a dual language program offered to students who participated in dual language learning at the elementary level. Participating students take Spanish language arts classes and grade-level English concurrently. Fort Collins High School receives an A-minus rating and, according to Niche, is the third-best public high school in Larimer County. The high school also offers a variety of career and technical education courses in the fields of business marketing, family and consumer science and technology education.Driving around Fort Collins
