Suburban setting centered around the Fort Gregg-Adams military base
Though the military base was first established at the onset of World War I, the land surrounding Fort Gregg-Adams has a history dating back long before. Situated at the heart of Virginia’s Tri-Cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights and Hopewell, this area has seen everything from early English colonists to Civil War battles. Today, the base serves as the headquarters for multiple US Army support branches, and with a population of nearly 15,000, nearby businesses have sprung up to support residents. But even outside of those affiliated with the military, the combination of central location, rich history and proximity to nature on the Appomattox River continues to draw homebuyers of all kinds to Fort Gregg-Adams.
From modest ranches to riverside living
