Lauderdale-By-The-Sea Beach is a public strip of sand where Knoll Ridge residents can go for a taste of sun and fun just 1.6 miles from the neighborhood. Just 100 miles off the shore is a coral reef where divers and snorkelers can get close up with the aquatic ecosystem. At Anglin’s Pier, anglers can drop a line and catch fish. On land, Coral Ridge Country Club is just across U.S. Route 1, offering a prime golf course and 11 tennis courts. Bayview Park is almost 7 acres with athletic fields and basketball and tennis courts.
Ranches with a coastal feel and condos with breezeways
Houses in Knoll Ridge are typically ranches dating back to the 1950s and 60s, with many sporting Spanish and coastal influences, so even residential areas feel beachy. "The neighborhood is really inviting,” Hinterschied says. “Doing open houses there is fun because of the neighbors. They would come in for a peek at the flipped house and chat.” Most homes have a circular driveway, and some may also have a single-car garage. Landscaping is common, especially in the circle of grass the driveway creates. Sidewalks are uncommon here, but neighborhoods that do have them feature more narrow options, with room for only one person. Houses in Knoll Ridge have varied pricing, depending on how close the properties are to Lauderdale-By-The-Sea’s downtown area along Commercial Boulevard. They tend to list between $750,000 and $1 million. Montclair Gardens offers low-rise one-bedroom condos with long breezeways listing for closer to $175,000.
Artistic Mexican restaurants and local music stores
Casa Frida offers authentic Mexican cuisine in a building that pays homage to Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera’s art and Mexican culture. Some specials found here include Mayan roasted pork and the seafood catch of the day. For something sweet, La Cake Café has sweet desserts like tres leches cake and flan alongside savory favorites like empanadas and croquettes. In the mornings, locals stop in for a caffeinated pick-me-up. Radio-Active Records is a local music store that has served the community since 1995. Most grocery stores are within a 2-mile radius of Knoll Ridge. Aldi is less than 1 mile away, while the Publix at Northridge Shopping Center is just 1.6 miles away. In Pompano Marketplace, Walmart Neighborhood Market is 2 miles from Knoll Ridge.

Every Sunday from December to May, El Prado Park hosts Lauderdale-By-The-Sea’s Farmers’ Market. Friday Night Music is a great way to kick off the weekend, with bands playing live music downtown. Fourth of July Parade and Family Fun Day is an annual treat, starting with a parade and live performances in El Prado Park. In March 2024, the town will celebrate its 75th anniversary with a festival offering live music and food from its best restaurants and vendors.

Take the bus along major motorways in Knoll Ridge
While residents in Knoll Ridge can walk or bike to all necessary amenities, buses also stop along Commercial Boulevard, which runs down the center of the neighborhood. U.S. Route 1 is the eastern border and connects it to Fort Lauderdale, just 7 miles south. I-95 is just a short drive from the neighborhood. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is 15 miles away. Holy Cross Health is the closest hospital, sitting in the southern corner of Knoll Ridge. Because the hospital is so close to the community, potential homebuyers should be aware of sirens and associated noise.
