An up-and-coming Fort Wayne community on the east end
At first glance, East Central might seem like a sleepy neighborhood just outside the buzz of Fort Wayne. It doesn’t take long to see that East Central is an energetic and involved community within an urban setting. “It’s an up-and-coming neighborhood within walking distance of downtown,” says Realtor Tiffiny Holmes of Keller Williams Fort Wayne. More affordable homes characterize this neighborhood, alongside a strong sense of community. A handful of locally owned and operated restaurants offer a fun Friday out, just as the neighborhood’s parks make for an active Saturday. East Central’s most recognized institution is Indiana Tech, a university that partners with local organizations to encourage students down the STEAM path. In addition to all that’s offered in its boundaries, East Central is close to even more in downtown Fort Wayne. For out-of-town trips, be they business or pleasure, folks can utilize Fort Wayne International Airport.
