The Bar Ranch
Traditional architecture and contemporary builds
Houses in The Bar Ranch vary depending on which side of the subdivision they are on. The properties to the east usually have more traditional architecture and sit snuggly in a grid-style pattern. On the western side, the houses are larger contemporary builds and have some acreage. Prices usually range from around $300,000 to $400,000 for three- and four-bedroom homes, while the larger custom builds with several acres can go for between $500,000 and a million dollars. The community has HOA fees, usually from $30 to $50 monthly. While the homes sit tightly next to their neighbors, the roads have enough space for street parking and sidewalks with room for people to pass each other by. Driveways and garages are common throughout, with most homes having both.High marks for Bar Ranch schools

Eagle's Point Bar and Grill is a local favorite for sports fans who gather to watch the games and enjoy hamburgers, fries and billiards under the neon beer lights. Billy Bob's Texas on Rodeo Plaza is a popular place for a night out. The venue hosts rodeos, concerts and the Honky Tonk Kitchen, serving up authentic Western cuisine, including burgers and barbeque. "I've been going to Billy Bob's Texas since I was 16," Winingham says. "That's where me and my friends have always gone to hang out." A few blocks away, on Saginaw Boulevard, there are several chains and fast-food joints, like Whataburger and Panda Express. Kroger, Albertsons and Walmart are in the same area for groceries and everyday needs.Fishing and boating on Loughridge Lake
Nearby Northwest Community Park sits along Loughridge Lake, a few miles outside the neighborhood. At nearly 250 acres, it is the fifth largest park in Fort Worth, with several sports fields, picnic tables and natural hiking and walking trails. Outdoor enthusiasts appreciate the 25-acre lake's kayaking, canoeing and fishing opportunities. The park includes several areas to watch the wildlife, including the Aztec Dancer, a dragonfly species common to the area. The Bar C Ranch Amenities Center includes a junior Olympic-sized pool, a kiddie pool and a venue for various occasions, like birthday parties.Easy access to Interstate 287
Getting around the neighborhood requires a vehicle, with no public transportation options. While most residents need cars, police may ride their horses around town in very old-school Texas fashion. Interstate 287 borders the neighborhood to get around the Metroplex. Travelers head to DFW International Airport, 24 miles away, or Dallas Love Field, 35 miles away. Medical City ER Saginaw is the nearest medical facility, about 2 miles from the neighborhood. The Bar Ranch location has some perks, being about 40 miles from Dallas. Tons of people in the area head to Dallas' Texas State Fair every year," Winingham says.
