It's one of the pricier spots in the Nashville area and has long been a destination for celebrities or big-name country stars, but don't expect anything flashy. There are no chain stores and not a single traffic light in this preserved pocket of rural Tennessee, where the laid-back lifestyle is the whole draw.

The homes in Leiper’s Fork offer more space and privacy than you might find closer in to Nashville. Renovated farmhouses and modern construction are set back on several acres with heated pools, custom barns and horse pastures. The median home price is around $1.8 million, but you can find some smaller cottages in the $400,000s to $800,000s range. On the higher end, homes sell from $1 million all the way up to $18 million.
“Leiper’s Fork has rolling hills and rolling terrain,” says Jane Hunter Hicks, the broker and owner of Leipers Fork Realty who specializes in this area. “What’s nice is the housing is spread out, and some homes sit on 5 acres.” If you'd rather build custom, there are open plots of land for sale too.
