The Hudson River wraps around most of Moreau, save the south side, which leads into Gansevoort. Spots like South Glens Falls Park sit right on the waterfront, making for a tranquil, picturesque park experience that’s hard to find elsewhere. Inland, there’s Harry Betar Jr. Recreational Park, which features a playground and ball fields. In the warmer months, residents use the splash pad, while in the snowy months they go to The Bowl, a hill that’s perfect for sledding. Getting around Moreau
Route 9 and Interstate 87, which intersect near Moreau Lake State Park, are key transportation routes not only for Moreau but for the wider area. Homes are scattered throughout Moreau, but clearly the densest development is in the northeastern part of the neighborhood, where streets form a grid or end in cul-de-sacs. Spruce Street, Willow Street and Pine Road are street names adding to that classic and cozy sense of suburbia. The southeast is sparser in terms of development, with throughfares like Clark Road stretching nearly five miles across open pastures dotted with ranch homes.
